I recently purchased this piece and to call it a tv stand doesn’t seem fair compared to the inferior products that are also called tv stands. What this is is a fine piece of handmade cabinetry. The fit, finish and attention to detail is as good as you see anywhere at any price. As I was unpacking it I noticed the trim boards on the center shelves are fastened with pocket screws as is the rest of the stand. At first I thought this was overkill, but after looking at the rest of the piece this just followed through with the overall quality of the stand. When you examine the stand closely you immediately notice that this was not built to a price point, but rather built with no compromises to quality craftsmanship and materials. I wanted a small change on my stand and called Gene to discuss it and found him to be a genuinely friendly very accommodating person. Although these are not the least expensive tv stands available, if you were see a stand of this quality in a high end furniture store it would probably be twice the price or more. The only negative I can find with the products offered here is to be sure you order exactly what you want, because they will not be something that falls apart and will need to be replaced in a few years. The owner states on this website that your grandchildren will love this furniture. I certainly agree with that and would add that their grandchildren will like it also. As good as these pieces look on a computer it doesn’t do justice to how nice it will look in your home. If you are on the fence about ordering one of these, go ahead and do it, you won’t regret it.
